Past Interns Speak

Stephanie, International Relations Intern, 2016

“My name is Stephanie Fabricant. I am in the masters Non Profit Management and Leadership program at Hebrew University. This program allows the students to gain knowledge of the Non Profit sector through academics and practical experience. We are required to participate in an internship of our choice for the length of our studies. I chose to intern at The New Fund for Cinema and Television. During my time at the NFCT I gained practical knowledge in understanding how Non Profit organizations operate, specifically in cinema and social change. I was able to assist in communication pieces such as newsletters, I gained social media skills and expanded my knowledge of foundations and donors through research. The NFCT staff was extremely welcoming and helpful, my supervisor Irit, went far and beyond to make me feel comfortable. She answered any question I had in depth, was very supportive and ensured that I gained the best experience I could. I learned a great deal about Israeli society through the films that the NFCT produced and a strong understanding of the Non Profit world in Israel.”

Erin, International Relations Intern, 2013

“My internship at NFCT has proven to be an amazing experience for me.  I was a volunteer, teaching English in Israel and decided that I needed another, completely different experience on the side.  During my time at NFCT, I learned a great deal about what goes into marketing for a non-profit organization.  I was also able to work on my research and writing skills.  The NFCT team is so welcoming and accommodating; the free lunches aren’t bad either!  In short, I would highly recommend working at NFCT.  It was a fabulous learning experience and such a great community and work environment.”
