Irit Shimrat
Irit is a documentary film producer, with extensive experience in documentary film production, development, promotion and fundraising. Irit was previously the Director of International Relations and Special Projects at the NFCT and part of the team that applied for, established and ran the international Greenhouse project.
Following her work at the NFCT, Irit joined director and producer David Fisher’s company as Development and Associate Producer and produced two feature-length documentaries: Six Million and One and Mostar Round Trip. She was also Senior Line Producer on 24 Hours Jerusalem, a unique documentary project, produced by Zero One Films Berlin. The project was a 24-hour-long documentary about a day in the life of Jerusalem, shot with 70 crews over the course of 24 hours. Irit rejoined the NFCT in 2014 as the producer of our new Greenhouse Program for Jewish and Arab Women Filmmakers in Israel.
